There are a number of farmer's markets in Oakland, and this may be the best. Big area so lots of room for displays of various foods. And it is a neighborhood event and institution.

Great place to hang out Saturday mornings. Lots of different types of vendors: clothing, jewelry, art pieces. It's best to get here early as the lines get long after 11am. So many food vendors to choose from. Limited parking under the bridge.

The farmers market here is one of my favorite places to visit. Lots of farmers, lovely produce and the starter bakery makes a fair croissant. If I could live in the area, I'd get my produce there every week. I always find something fun to make for my CA family here.
