  • Another gem to escape from the commotion of the bay area. I love the solidarity of this park. The trails can be quick for a family picnic or all day for an athletic person like myself. Easy to get lost in peace. I recommend the French trail!!!
  • Tons of great trails and beautiful redwood views. This park is a great place to go if you want to see beautiful California redwoods but don't want to brave the Muir woods crowd. The various trails have a mix of shades and sunny areas, and a mix of elevation changes for any hikers that prefer either. The skyline gate is a great place to start, the earlier the better in order to get parking, there is a lot but you can park on the shoulder right nearby.
