  • Amazing insight into the forces that shaped this beautiful island. Jaw dropping inside if you’ve never been inside the earth, and in a lava tube to boot. The guide Bryan was engaging, laid back and funny, especially with the kids. Our second visit here in about 5 years. Nice and cool underground and tour part was about 1.5 h. Also cool was to see the over 150 years old Hawaiian residents traces of habitation. Definitely wear long pants and closed shoes. Bring an extra flashlight even though they provide helmets with lights - just gives more opportunity to look at things but not absolutely necessary.
  • We did the archeological tour with Mark as our guide. It took an hour and a half, which was precisely what it was supposed to take. And it was very informative and fun. Just a light hike. I would recommend if you want to learn about indigenous Hawaiian culture. If you just want to hike, the 2 hour cave tour sounded much more intensive.
