Anchorage Marina, Ocracoke

Dale (the front desk worker ) was very nice. We stayed in the top suite. The room was huge and very clean. View was amazing . The only complaints were the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. The mattress was hard and the pillows were not comfortable at all which made 2 nights of sleep very difficult. The other issue was Right below us on a Sunday there were workers tearing out carpet and putting flooring in. Banging all day long with hammers and noise on a rainy afternoon. We Could not even take a nap. Then someone was smoking below us and the smoke smell was coming into our room. This was extremely annoying especially when you’re paying a lot of money for your room. Not sure why they could not forgo doing construction work on a Sunday. Very disappointing. The Inn needs updating for sure but not on a Sunday .

Basic 2 star hotel on remote island. Has mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. Room was clean. Quiet after 8pm. Got a decent night sleep.
