Take a journey through the history of flight, see the historical aircrafts, and learn how aviation changed people's lives at Hill Aerospace Museum. A part of the Hill Air Force Base, the museum preserves the history of aeronautics through hundreds of artifacts, ranging from preserved airplanes and helicopters to missiles, uniforms, ground vehicles, photos, and documents. Visit the different periods in flight history and hear the stories about its early pioneers, the World War II aces, and the heroes of the jet age. Aviation enthusiasts shouldn't miss the chance to see the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, the fastest airplane ever built. Admission to the museum is free, but donations are accepted. • Lots of planes both indoor and outside with information about each one, sometimes with a Utah focus as Hill AFB is next door. We only had 90 minutes so no time to watch videos or special topics in...  more »
  • Great free activity to see. So many cool planes to look at, amazing history to learn, and you get to be right up next to some of the coolest flying machines in existence. Can't ask for much better  more »

  • Always worth a little extra drive to spend the day here. Awesome planes and exhibits. Favorite has to be the SR-71 Blackbird and one of only a handful of museums that have this jet. So many aircraft you can spend hardly anytime looking at each plane and still have ti take over an hour. Or spend the day taking in each exhibit and take your time which is what I recommend cause this place is packed with some awesome aircraft. well worth the cost of admission (which is free).
  • One of the best USAF museums without a doubt! Admission is FREE and the museum is staffed by an amazing group of volunteers, many with detailed knowledge of aircraft and some amazing personal experiences. I live nearby and have visited this place many times and have always enjoyed it. Thanks to the museum staff and volunteers for all they do to preserve this important piece of Aerospace history!
