Ogunquit Beach translates from the Abenaki language as "beautiful place by the sea." It is an apt name for the resort that offers sandy beaches framed by cliffs along the water. Swimmers will want to head to the river lagoon with a sandbar that indicates shallow water ideal for wading and swimming. The area is known for being a lesbian-, gay-, bisexual-, and transgender-friendly community. Consider browsing the boutiques near the water and enjoying refreshments with a view over the beach. • Awesome place. All of the food was delicious. If you like mussels thiers is a must have and the seafood soup was amazing. Friendly and great service. Hopefully we can return one day.
  • The food was delicious. It was pricey but you definitely get what you pay for. Very small portion sizes so I recommend you get a soup or appetizer to start as they are also very tasty.
