Ogunquit Beach translates from the Abenaki language as "beautiful place by the sea." It is an apt name for the resort that offers sandy beaches framed by cliffs along the water. Swimmers will want to head to the river lagoon with a sandbar that indicates shallow water ideal for wading and swimming. The area is known for being a lesbian-, gay-, bisexual-, and transgender-friendly community. Consider browsing the boutiques near the water and enjoying refreshments with a view over the beach. Ogunquit Beach Reviews
Ogunquit beach brings peace into your life. Take a walk on the beach while watching the sunrise or relax sitting on the chairs. The water may be cold, but it’s worth taking a dip in the ocean. more »
We were taken to this restaurant by our daughter and husband. The first time I have had clam chowder and crab cakes and we finished with fresh lobster. A real treat, served in immaculate surroundings.... more »
Incredible view. You come for that tranquil spot by the water. We went on the busiest Labor Day weekend and it was wonderful to eat food by the water despite the crazy rush of people. Ordered seafood platter and it was perfect, lightly breaded and fried perfectly without it tasting greasy and heavy. But it came with store bought chips. The chowders were average. High price food due to the view.
My third attempt to get seated.. Beautiful place. Help could be better at service...love the views.. I have been there before. Food was good, service was good...this year I will have to reevaluate....
