Housing the world's largest collection of glass sculptures by artist Dale Chihuly, Oklahoma City Museum of Art brings art to life in the city's renowned downtown arts district. Although it covers a period of nearly 500 years, the museum's collection is especially strong in European and American art of the 19th and 20th centuries. Spread across three floors, the permanent exhibit space displays works by Alexander Calder, Henry Moore, Georgia O'Keefe, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Charles Wilson Peale, and Gustave Courbet. The museum also houses a theater that screens international, independent, and classic films. Finish your visit with a meal at the museum's full-service restaurant, which offers a menu inspired by French cuisine. • Wow! Cool inventory. Funny smell at the entrance. Could have been incense? But not pleasant.
  • A really distinctive example of a museum store with a unique range of GOOD local artists presented there in addition to pieces in the permanent collection. Excellent hospitality, a memorable experience.
