South Lakes Regional Park, Oklahoma City

This is a really safe secure and dog friendly park. Me and my wife come here either every morning or at night before they close. At this point there is some green Algae on the water so don't let your dogs drink it or they could dehydrate to death. But this stuff is on a lot of body's of water right now not just here. And if you are going early or at night I would suggest bringing a flash light for safety at night around the long end of the tracks for there are no lights.

They have many soccer fields, a playground, and a skate area for people with wheels. I would give it 4 stars but I think they should build some shade areas for the people playing to cool off. In the middle of the summer the kids playing in games could get dangerously hot. Also the traffic can be a bit ridiculous simply because of people in considerately parking slanted in there spots
