  • I have never been to a museum with people that care so much, Bob took my daughter and I around the museum and explained every exhibit. The guys were moving a Universal Carrier and ran over to us so...  more »
  • The equipment is in excellent condition, and according to the Website, they do re-enactments/simulations. I grew up near Ft. Knox, and I'm very impressed with what's here. We didn't know about this...  more »

  • We visited the museum around noon and were greeted by the staff. They gave us info and brief tour. They were open to questions and discussed future events and plans. They are very family friendly and often have schools visiting. This is a great way to teach American history. Proud to have visited and will visit again.
  • Wow, what a find. While visiting family on Long Island, we needed to kill a little bit of time. We happened on the Museum of American Armor. What a nice representation of our military vehicles and some of their weaponry. This was a very easy walking tour. With plenty of volunteers and veterans to answer questions. I had never seen some of the amazing armor our military had to protect them. It was also nice to see the women of past military conflicts represented so proudly. The building is a large warehouse style building but very nicely laid out with an air-conditioned area. They have meetings and performances here. They have a movie to watch. And although we did not see a reenactment, were told they happen often and are amazing to see. Hopefully next time we get to Long Island we can schedule it for a reenactment. They did have nice restrooms and ample parking.
