Create an itinerary including Orcas Island Artworks
A treasured Orcas Island destination for visitors and locals alike, the Artworks offers one of the finest selections of local art and crafts in the San Juan Islands. We represent over forty Orcas Island artists and crafts people, working in pottery, sculpture, jewelry, glass, wood, paintings, prints, wearable art, fiber and more. Established in 1981, our gallery is one of the oldest artist cooperatives in the country. As the gallery is owned and operated by the artists themselves, there is the unique opportunity of meeting one or more of them on any given day.

Artworks has returned to their permanent location in the historic Strawberry Barreling Building in Olga village at the corner of Olga Road and Point Lawrence Road.

The Catkin Café is located in the same building.

  • Very nice gallery and worth a visit if on Orca island. Co-op with many different artists and types of art.

  • Driving past this place, I thought this must be one of those bad art (more like crafts)/mediocre food joints that draw tourists. But other members of my party wanted to stop, so we did. Believe me, you should not pass this place up. Nearly all of the artwork on display was worthy of being featured in high-end mainland galleries. The islands obviously feature some very talented artists. I was especially impressed with the variety of work and styles.
  • Great art co-op with representatives if several mediums represented. Plus they have a lovely pastry and coffee shop.
