We hit the Mima Mounds for a short early morning hike. We arrived at the site about 8 am. Because it was early, it was not yet hot although it was a sunny day. We had the mounds all to ourselves...

A really cool natural phenomenon that was interesting to visit and learn about BUT if you're going to enjoy a peaceful walk in nature you will be highly disappointed. Whole viewing these great vistas your ears will ring with gunshots from the neighbors next door. It was a constant and annoying soundtrack to an otherwise beautiful location!

The scenery is always beautiful! It is especially beautiful in the summer! There are a few different trails to walk on of different lengths. I enjoy them all.
