From the HOT SPRINGS walk there is a nice loop on LOVERS LANE hike through the woods where the trail heads to the falls from the parking area of SOL DUCK RESORT. The trail is a tight single track through the woods and the trail varies from easy to technical with roots and rocks so bring the right shoes. It is very quiet in the woods so ditch the headphones and enjoy the silence of the forest. 3 miles on this tight trail will take you over bridges, along the creek and cross over other creeks. There are other places to stop along the way but the FALLS are the focus. I arrived in late August and the water is down, the snow melt is pretty much over so the best time is in the Spring. At the SOL DUCK FALL parking it is a short 1 mile saunter through the woods to the falls. If you are staying at the Lodge/Resort there is no shuttle to take people to the falls you have to drive, ride a bike or walk so that drops it to a 4/5. The falls were pretty cool but overrated. The hikes were more fun than the falls.

A jewel in the Olympic national park to go on trail and enjoy the pleasant waterfall. Trail doesn't have much elevation and is just 0.8 miles. Though parking is bit tough during summer but worth watching waterfalls. I don't recommend to take strollers but easy to carry kids on back. Traffic was moderate on our visit so that we could enjoy calmness of the park! Discover pass is not required but you need to pay for pass at entrance.
