  • Great spot to see some unique items and talk to artists as they create. We stopped in here as part of the Nebraska Passport program and I'm so glad we went in. They were blowing glass when we walked in which was pretty cool. We wandered through the building seeing the various types of art work and we spoke to several of the artists as they were working. Not all of the shops were open which was kind of a drag but overall this is a really cool place to stop if you're in the area.
  • On Sunday, December 2nd, I attended Hot Shops' Holiday Festival. 'Got to visit with visual Artist Paula Wallace. She's a delight, and is also from my home area, Shelby County, Iowa. I purchased her annual calendar; my favorite month was January, featuring a pretty watercolor nut hatch, which she signed for me. 'Next stop, the gallery space of artist Caroline Schmitz, also from my home area. I found a small flaming chalice, which just happens to be the symbol of my denomination, the Unitarian Universalist Association. It was a ceramic chalice, containing pretty stones and a candle; 'just what I've been wanting to get. It was affordable, too. My afternoon was fun, fulfilling, and a success !!
