  • In brief, it’s an experience you won’t forget. It’s like delving into the mind of the insane creative.

  • Took my niece Adrienne to see some of Howard's work as she has deep interests in all aspects of the arts. As a friend of Howard Solomon it was difficult for me not seeing him around his old stomping grounds. However seeing his works once again brought back many good memories. Howard was such a character, his absence leaves a large void. I first met Howard through another local friend, Herb Hastings who also passed. Both truly "original" men, two completely different artists with unique intrests. The current staff for Howard's castle, some locals and family, handle things well enough you should be able to get the gist of who Howard Solomon was. However the experience feels mechanical, but then without Howard how could it be anything else. Regardless, you should visit this wonderfully unique institution as no "thing" lasts forever. The history of the land purchase, Howard's construction of his castle, and the many creations by the hands of a self educated, talented artist who possessed a never ending joy in the use of puns and his own one liners can still be felt through the works he left us. Howard, I thank you for the day you gave my only Son Carl III that chilly day in March 2013. Still have the "pot hole" piece you gave him that day. Such a treasure, I gave it to his sister after his passing. Howard, rest well my dear friend.
  • Great place to check out. The artist behind This place is very creative. Some very intriguing pieces. The food is not bad either. Definitely worth a Sunday drive out to check it out!
