  • We camped here based on a friend's recommendation. I'm really glad we did! It's a beautiful park with the best showers I've had in any state park. The observation point near the campground is truly a....  more »
  • I like Wildcat Mountain for its views of Kickapoo River and steep hikes that give you good workout. No real mountains here, but hills are very formidable, like elsewhere in the Driftless region...  more »

  • Very nice and quiet campground. Hiking trails were nice with cool views of the Kickapoo valley. You can take advantage of canoe rental/shuttle place in Ontario which is a short 5min drive from the park. Camping sites were maintained. The outhouses did have a pretty bad stink and camping next to them would have not been pleasent. The outlook point on the trail past the amphitheater is overgrown and there is no views. The main overlook is a 2 minute walk from parking lot. The hemlock trail was my favorite but part was closed so it was not a loop. Definitely recommend checking out this park.
  • Wildcat Mountain is a great place to camp, hike, paddle, and ride horses. The view from observation point is breathtaking. The amphitheater has a great view too. Paddling the beautiful Kickapoo River is another treat. Winter brings a frozen waterfall and a candlelight snowshoe/ski in January. It's a gem!
