We enjoyed our visit here. We camped in a cart-in site (110) which was very private and surrounded by trees. Not a lot of good hammock trees, if you’re looking to camp that way. The site was big enough for both a 6 person tent and a 2 person tent without feeling too crowded. We hiked the Mt Pisgah Hemlock Trail which is a steep climb with a nice view. We saw an eagle from the overlook which was cool. This area would be amazing to kayak, so we’ll likely be back for more adventures. This area was also excellent for star gazing!

Wildcat is a beautiful mountain. Hiking it is worth it even just to see the view at the top. If I lived closer I'd do it regularly. The various small rock formations are very interesting to see on the way up, and being able to see the wilderness once you're at the top is something you'll never be able to forget. It's no mountain everest but it's definitely beautiful.
