THE ONTONAGON TOWNSHIP PARK IS LOCATED ALONG THE SHORES OF LAKE SUPERIOR ONE MILE NORTH EAST OF THE VILLAGE. A SIGN IS POSTED ON RIVER STREET AT THE INTERSECTION OF RIVER AND HOUGHTON STREETS. A PLAYGROUND WITH UP-TO-DATE EQUIPMENT IS LOCATED JUST PRIOR TO THE CAMPING AREA OF THE CAMPGROUND. SIGNS WILL LEAD YOU TO THE CAMPGROUND.

    We were in the park during a Lake Superior windstorm, and able to witness the waves and power of the lake. On a calm day, you could also picnic there near a nice beach for beachcombing.  more »
