  • Good trip for a toddler but a little expensive for what it was. 2 year old with us loved it. Also did the pony riding which was busy hence long queue but again great for little kids.  more »
  • My grandson loves trains, Christmas lights and Santa. So... this was the perfect place to go for the holidays. Irvine park has changed since I visited there in the 1960s and 70s. I was happy for my...  more »

  • For beauty of grounds, ease of getting there and general maintenance, I'm giving 4 stars. Minus one only for crazy crowds. At only $5 per car, it's a great escape destination. Bike trails, zoo ($2 entry!) plenty of facilities and lots of grills. The zoo is a drawcard, as there are mountain lions, bears and more. Well worth it, suitable for all ages.
  • I have been taking my son to irvine Park Railroad for a few years now because they do such a great job on keeping it clean and professional. The park is a beautiful little secret tucked back in the canyon that many do not know about. The special events that they have throughout the year are well thought out and a great day trip when you don't want to go to overcrowded theme parks. I don't think most of the other people that rated the railroad before myself get out often because the cost of all of the things to do is very reasonable. People would complain if the ride was too fast because they didn't get their money's worth. Especially Joyce L. Why would you start by saying "I hate pumpkin patches" why would you have kids? Are the lines long? They can be especially if you wait until just before the holiday. Have you ever waited to get Santa pictures the day before Christmas? Lines are inevitable and people are cranky. With a little early planning you can avoid all of the long lines to make your experience very enjoyable. Definitely something we would recommend.
