Amazingly spectacular place to visit. Well worth the visit. We visited in spring time, with the hills starting to turn green and not many visitors so not much traffic which makes for a better experience. Very impressive at the amount of work that went in to building the dam.
I lived in Hells Canyon , Oxbow village actually for 13 years while my father supervised the building of the 3 dams. For a tomboy it was heaven, fishing, hiking, riding horses, hunting, finding arrowheads ... Heaven in beautiful rugged Hells Canyon!!!!!!
