Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, Orlando

4.5
Cool off with a relaxing dip in one of the world's largest outdoor wave pools at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park. As one of two aquatic parks at Walt Disney World Resort, the complex offers an array of water attractions ranging from gentle wading pools to exhilarating thrill rides. Speed down five stories at almost 64 km/h (40 mph) on the Humunga Kowabunga waterslide, or take a chance snorkeling with dozens of sharks and stingrays at Shark Reef. Feel free to pack your own lunch, or stop by one of the park’s many outdoor eateries. Arrive sooner rather than later in terms of both lines and temperatures. Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our online itinerary creator, Orlando Edition.

  • My kids love a good water park and this one didn’t disappoint. The wave pool is a huge hit for the kids, for me I’ll skip it as it has enough power to literally knock you down. The lazy river is a nic...  more »

  • By far Disneys best water park. This place is so nice and peaceful. With nice sandy areas scattered around the park which makes it feel a lot less crowded than it is. The wave pool is amazing and always provides a laugh when you see new people to the park completely underestimate how powerful the big waves are. With the addition of many new rides this park has it all and is pretty close to taking over Blizzard Beach as the go to place for thrill slides. It's a shame the shark pool's gone and been replaced by more beach areas as I enjoyed that pool and soundtrack that plays in this park is good too. All in all a great park to spend a hot sunny day in.
  • My family and I had a blast at Typhoon Lagoon! The slides and wave pool are so fun! The food choices were great. We really liked that it was more than just burgers and dogs. The rice bowls and salads are a great addition. We paid extra for the option of sitting in a roped off area with an umbrella, reserved chairs, and towels which was totally worth it. The comfort of knowing that if we walked away for a few minutes we wouldn't have to find new seats was wonderful. We ended up getting evacuated for a bad thunderstorm but it was late in the afternoon and we didn't feel like we'd missed out on anything there. The staff was kind about notifying us of the park closing while also trying to move quickly so that everyone stayed safe. It was handled very well. I'd definitely return and recommend to others!
  • The attractions of this park are more familiar. Although they are amazing. The queue are fast and the restaurants are delicious. The tacos are an hit and you can share it. The surf pool is the best slow attraction, the waves are high and you will have a lot of fun. I think that both aquatic parks are amazing and if you can go, you should.
  • My family and I took party in the H2O Glow night which is a special after hours party from 8pm-11pm. They had dance music, games, and all the rides were open at night. There was no special merchandise as this was the first year but next year they should have some. My daughter and i loved the giant wave pool and the new Miss Adventure Falls was very fun too. Can't wait to go again next year!
  • It's a great water park with plenty of variety for the whole family. Great food selection and snack stations. Store is well equipped for all your water fun needs, however, they oddly did not case waterproof cases for phones. Cabanas and umbrella seating goes fast, so reserve ahead of time. If not, there is plenty of "beach" seating with lounge chairs. Lockers galore at $10/$15 a day; get a large...its not as big as the kiosk says. Oddly the locker kiosks are about the only thing that doesn't accept magic bands. Plenty of changing room in the restrooms although they are dirtier than a highway rest stop, unusual for Disney. Lifeguards are probably the nicest and most helpful Disney staff, unlike the parks staff members. They tend to over react to weather fronts and shut down the water attractions frequently. Overall it's definitely worth it for a day.
