Lake Eola Park is known for its namesake lake with its recognizable fountain, as well as views of the city skyline. Plan a picnic on the green, or children can enjoy the playground. Residents and visitors mingle at events on the great lawn and along the many jogging paths. After dark, the fountain changes color, and a walkway around the lake fills with visitors eager to see the spectacle. A Chinese pagoda in the eastern part of the park joins the light show, and LED lights keep the walkways well lit. Lake Eola Park is a beautiful park. Cypress trees line the banks of the lake in many areas. There is an abundance of waterfowl, fish, and turtles. Soothing music plays from speakers in the trees as you walk, jog, or run around the lake. Sit at Relax Grill and enjoy their food and drinks and people watch. There is also a large playground for the little ones. Don't forget to ride the swan boats out into the lake up to and around the fountain. A lot of fun and good exercise. All in all, a fun place to visit and enjoy.
Wonderful little park. The colored fountain in the center of the lake, the colorful ampitheatre, the music playing along the concrete walkways and the ducks and geese travelling the area make this a wonderful place to go and spend a few hours just roaming or sitting, it doesn't matter. There are events on weekends all the time, and you can frequently find people walking dogs and playing music and all sorts of things around this small lake right in the heart of big tall skyscrapers in downtown Orlando.
