Wild Africa Trek Reviews
My better half and I love Disney. This is our third behind the scenes excursion. Group of 11 with 2-3 guides at time. Tad expensive but well worth it. Get much closer to some of the animals. Your truc... more »

After I've experienced it, I can assure you they missed saying "unique." For years my daughter insisted on doing this tour, but since it is at extra cost I always refused, until I got her raise: "If I pay it with my savings can we do it?" It is impossible to refuse a raise, especially coming from a girl of, at that time, 10 years. And savings, together dollar after dollar and managed to pay it. I always thought it wasn't worth doing this expedition and HOW WRONG i WAS!!! Worth every minute and every penny. It's a unique experience. THE Wild Africa Trek TOUR is a 3-hour excursion in which you will discover animals of almost every species living in the Safi River Valley, an unreserved habitat that simulates its native territory in Africa. This experience begins when you start to put on your harness and all the safety locks. Like everything at Disney it is very well organized and cared for in its details since it starts until it ends. They ask you to arrive 10 minutes, you weigh (if you weigh in balance and if you are of the shameful there is nothing to do, it is necessary to know what type of harness you need), they put the harness. The place has lockers to leave your belongings as you can not carry anything that can not be tied to the safety vest, and are super strict. In my case I wore sunglasses and telephone and both things were put strips that then secured to the vest. They give you your thermos so that you can carry water that you will remember. You get a headset that you're going to take the whole tour so the guide doesn't have to go screaming. The guide speaks in English, if you do not handle it well, it's a shame, you're going to miss some details of the life of the animals, but I do not see it as an impediment to do the tour. Maybe it's worth it. The groups are limited to 10/12 people plus a guide and a photographer. All the photos are included in the price of the excursion. You can carry your camera (as long as it can be tied to the vest) but I assure you that the photos they take are great. At the end of the tour you get a code so that the next day you can download them from the page. Apart from the photos they took that day they add photos of their gallery. Once everyone is ready the presentations are made, the safety recommendations are given and the fun starts. Guide ahead leaves the group, dressed in waistcoats and harness, to walk through Disney's Animal Kingdom Park until you reach the entrance to the Paganini Forest exploration Trail. They are a few minutes of fame, because where you go everyone is turned to look and surely wonder who these people are and where they go dressed like this. During this first part of the tour the guide will tell you interesting facts about the species of the African fauna. Finished this stretch starts a small trekking through the forest to reach the area of hippos, my daughter's favorite, where you expect the...
