Go for a swim, stroll along the beach, or sunbathe at Nauset Beach. Admire scenic views of the ocean and animals who live here; seals frequent the beach, and whales can occasionally be spotted offshore. You can participate in activities ranging from bass fishing to surfing, but bear in mind that the beach has time restrictions and prohibited areas. If you get a special permit, you can take off-road vehicles onto the beach. Bathroom facilities and food stalls offering seafood and fast food sit within easy access of the beach. • Lots of room, decent waves, and seals swimming just beyond the break. Sand is similar quality to mid-NJ, say, Seaside or Point Pleasant. Waterline drops off quick as well, so not easy swimming, plus t...  more »
  • We stopped and took a look at the famous Nauset light- which is featured on the cape cod potato hip bag. We then took a stroll down the walk to this amazing beach and took it all in.  more »
  • We spent the day at the Nauset Beach. Thankfully we brought our own chairs as none were available for rental. The beach was very clean and peaceful, even with a good crowd. There are food trucks and a...  more »

  • Large Atlantic side of the Cape beach with a large parking lot. $20.00 parking fee. Food trucks during the summer and tables to eat at. Sizable waves and plenty of seals in the water which means watch out for sharks and stay close to shore. Not to be confused with Nauset light beach which is about 25 mins away and part of the National Seashore and carries it's own fee.
  • Our 2nd favorite beach on the Cape. Too bad the Liam’s food shack was taken out in a storm last Spring. They have food trucks now, but it lost a huge element of attraction and the main reason making it more special than most of the other public seashore beaches. The bathrooms also are sort of small and gross. Still the surf, sand and water is hard to beat. Be prepared to wait to get in if you’re trying to park, however, during popular summer days. The lines can be extremely long with waits sometimes into the hours instead of minutes.
  • Nauset is very cool beach, great to watch the waves and stroll down the sand! The water is a little cold so it's not the best for straight up swimming, additionally being a little rocky right at the shore. Some will come to surf and body board, waves are decent and can sit and ride them, on a normal day.
  • Nice beach to walk around but I find New England beaches are not the best for swimming or playing in the sand. They are so rocky. As you can see from my photos, it’s a great place to watch the sunrise or sunset. Also as you can see from my photos, watch out for great white sharks. Don’t go swimming if you hear that seals are near by.
  • I believe this beach is one of the best, most beautiful and clean beaches in the continental U.S. The serf, however, can be too rough for children and even adults! There are sometimes sharks following seals along the beach.
