The EAA Aviation Museum, formerly the EAA AirVenture Museum (or Air Adventure Museum), is a museum dedicated to the preservation and display of historic and experimental aircraft as well as antiques, classics, and warbirds. The museum is located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, United States, adjacent to Wittman Regional Airport, home of the museum's sponsoring organization, the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), and the organization's EAA AirVenture Oshkosh event (the world's biggest fly-in and airshow) that takes place in late July/early August.

With over 200 aircraft, indoors and outdoors, and other exhibits and activities (including occasional aircraft rides nearby), the AirVenture Museum is a key tourist attraction in Oshkosh and is a center of activity throughout the AirVenture fly-in and airshow each summer. The museum is open year-round with the exception of a few holidays.

  • This museum was very clean and well laid out. I learned a lot about aviation just by viewing the exhibits. The children's area is a great for hands on learning. We spent about 1 1/2 hours there...

  • Although there was a Santa Event that Saturday and I missed two airplanes that were not on display, my visit was very enjoyable . My wife really liked the display of the role of women in WW2. Great...

  • Self guided tours with staff walking around to answer questions. Friendly staff, nice gift shop area. Even if you don't have kids, go to the kid zone and go up to the 3rd floor Control Tower. Have your picture taken with you in the Raptor (Maverick not included 😄). Really a cool place for kids and adults. Plan to spend minimum 3 hours if you enjoy reading about the planes. The only negative was many of the hands on activities were out of order (most of them, actually). Great museum...Highly recommend!
  • Great place to learn and see all types of planes. The children's spot is cool for everyone and you can sit in a jet! If you live in the area and haven't gone, I suggest a trip. In the summer it's better because they open the outside hangers and you can take a trolley and see even more planes.
