Big Laurel Falls reviews
Our information said this hike was .6 miles one way, but it seemed a lot farther. Also, I'm not sure I would say this is an easy hike, but it could be that my wife and I walked it after a rain, and..... more »
It’s a beautiful hike, although super muddy if it rains. The trail is about 1 mile one way, not .5mile as the local maps claim. In fact most of the trails we hiked seemed to be about a half of mile... more »
This makes for a nice short hike. It is about 1/2 mile out to the waterfall, and another 1/2 mile back. Fairly good trail, with some steps up and down and a few places with some short wooden poles on the ground to step across some wet spots. Lots of laurel bushes. A nice small wooden bridge at the creek crossing at the beginning.
Nice Waterfall. Trail is moderately difficult with rocks, tree roots, stumps and some fallen trees. Hike about 1/2 Mile. (About 1 KM), from Trailhead to the Falls. During warmer days recommend taking a dip in the pool at the base of the Falls. If you have children bring a Tube so you can float and enjoy the scenary.
