  • What an excellent tour of Corkscrew Pass! Our guide, Joe, had the best attitude and information, and the driving was safe even when the road looked impassable. We were able to achieve views that you won’t see anywhere else (even the Million Dollar Highway), and there were ample opportunities for pictures and exploring (as well as bathroom breaks). I had my dog on my lap the entire time, which included basically holding him in my arms the entire way down the steep mountain— so I would strongly recommend only bringing very chill dogs and ones that won’t kill your arm muscles on a 4-hour tour. I would happily do another tour if ever I’m back in Ouray.
  • Joe was our guide for todays 6 hour trip (any less would have felt rushed) we asked him to bring us to his favorite alpine lake locations. Almost immediately he knew we’re we’d be heading and remarkably needed no GPS to guide through the mountainous terrain. Joe not only drove us to some of the most spectacular spots I’ve ever seen, (which being an avid hiker is quite a feat.) he stopped to show us different vegetation (poisonous vs non poisonous mushrooms), animals (Grouse, Rodents, deer and oh about 1,500 sheep on the mountainside!!!) He gave us time when we stopped and never made us feel like we were on a schedule. He perfectly directed us on exactly what we asked for and more. We did happen to make him slightly late for his next trip but that was because we spotted a MASSIVE BEAR. Joe said it was the largest of the summer for him and he said it was certainly worth a stop to look through his binoculars which he so kindly provided. Aside from a little rain, Joe always made us feel comfortable every step of the way. One of our party admitted to being prone to car sickness but Joe made sure to keep it “low and slow” which made her trip just as enjoyable as the rest. She even jumped into the back in the bucket seats to enjoy the open air. Couldn’t have been more pleased and will certainly be booking again. Thanks again Joe!
