  • The falls and picnic areas are nice. However, the trails are poorly marked. There are 2 big CT regulation signs, but no maps on site. Tried for two days to get to the watchtower, failed both times. There are well worn rails that go off to nowhere, and big trees down across trails forcing bush-hogging. A trail with a sign that points to a watchtower loops back to a group of trees with the word "here" sprayed on them close to where you started. I noted multiple groups that got lost on the 2 days I went. The state map downloaded online was no help. Trails need serious work.
  • Convenient location on state route 188 (Quaker farms road) quarter mile from the intersection with state route 67 (southford road). This is about two miles off of exit 15 or 16 of I_84 (Yankee expressway) and only about 1 mile from Waterbury_oxford airport. The covered bridge was interesting to me, kinda give you the feeling like your going way back in time.
