My first comment is the historical nature of taking a Dory boat. Understanding all that goes into this trip will help you make a good decision. The day started very early to find the best launch time with reduced waves. We left at 5:10 and the waves were small. Within 10 minutes and after listening to the theme from Star Wars blaring over the speakers we had lines in the water. We began catching one after another for about an hour. We moved to deeper water for the hardest part of the trip. If any of you watch Deadliest Catch and see those giant vessels going up and down in the waves that is the best visual I can give you. The ocean is alive and real. Those waves in a small Dory boat are no joke. Consider the advice of taking a pill the day before in case of sea sickness. We caught 3 salmon but were not allowed to keep them as their were either too small or wild. The crew were 100% on top of staying legal. We actually appreciated that. The final part of the fishing including pulling crab pots. We equally shared what we caught. Next came blaring the horn, playing Ozzy Osbourne Crazy Train and riding right onto the beach. Can I share it was incredible! After the trip, we killed a bit of time before our fish and crab were cleaned, vacuum packed, and prepared. The attention to detail this group provided instantly results in five stars. Trust me, they provided us with lifetime memories and they went out of their way to satisfy!

Very appreciative of Capt Joe for his experience. Safety was of the highest priority and the excursion was appropriate for middle aged children. Almost caught my weight in fresh seafood! The bountiful catch was cleaned and vacuum sealed for travel.
