Asilomar State Beach is a beautiful location that I stumbled across one day while down in Pacific Grove. It has a pretty boardwalk and a cool little gazebo to sit in and take in the views. It is definitely windy and gets pretty cold here towards the evening. Watching a sunset from here is worth it. Love all the sandy dunes and plants surrounding the ocean path and has stairs that take you down to the rock area if you want to get a closer view. Great views and quiet location.

A nice beach with a good board walk. Even though there were a reasonable amount of cars parked, the beach didn’t feel busy. Pretty dog friendly, too. Some tide pools, tool. While we saw “no fires” signs, a number of people were doing bonfires as the sunset. FYI — did not see any restroom facilities
