Horseshoe Bend is a natural wonder famous for its striking contrast of water against red rocks. Just as its name suggests, the bend is a horseshoe-shaped curve cut into the rocks by the Colorado River, located just 6 km (4 mi) southwest from the town of Page. You can take a raft or helicopter tour or hike to the bend over a fairly short but very steep and rugged trail, often made more difficult by excessive heat. If you do choose to walk across this challenging terrain, be sure to wear rubber-soled shoes, light clothing, sunglasses, and a hat. To avoid dehydration, drink lots of water and make frequent stops as you hike to the scenic overlook above the meandering river. Horseshoe Bend Reviews
Bonne petite balade même s’il y avait pas mal de monde ! Le parking est payant depuis peu mais le prix vaut la peine ! more »Good little walk even if there were a lot of people! The parking lot is paying recently but the price is worth it!
נוף מהמם של הר חום באמצע המים בצורה יחסית דומה לפרסה של סוס ומסביבו האגם הכחול. מומלץ להגיע בשעות בהן השמש במרכז השמיים כך שהמים כחולים. חונים במגרש החניה בעלות של 10 דולר לרכב ומשם הליכה של כרבע שעה ... more »A stunning view of a mountain of heat in the middle of the water is relatively similar to the horseshoe of a horse and around it the Blue Lake. It is advisable to arrive when the sun is in the center of the sky so that the water is blue. Park in the parking lot for 10 dollars a car and a 15-minute walk on foot.
Beautiful place to visit. Currently the site was under construction. Visitors needed to park at a designated parking lot and took the shuttle bus to visit the site. Managed by the City of Page. $5 per person including round-trip bus fares and admission. I went online to purchase the tickets. You may purchase the tickets at the parking lot if you have cash.
Horseshoe bend was awesome, but I got to say it's probably more breathtaking as a photographer that appreciates the landscape. It was a quick look a few photos for us as a family and then we headed out. Kind of weird that they switched to the shuttle service instead of parking in the parking lot. We're just glad we got to see it in person because it really is a marvel.
