"Where the pavement ends and the West begins."

Married on horseback in 1975, Gary & Faye continued in the family business which was started by Gary's parents in 1952. They established Astraddle A Saddle Inc in 1980. From the beginning, Astraddle A Saddle has been a family operation. Our family takes great pride in letting our experience show you the best of western hospitality in the beautiful San Juan Mountains of Pagosa Springs, Colorado.

Gary is a native of Pagosa Springs, whose family, on both sides has resided in Pagosa Springs for four generations. He was following his father, Floyd, since he was seven years old taking Trail Rides and Outfitting for Big Game Hunts. He also has worked as a Wrangler and has had horses in several Westerns including, "The Cowboys" with John Wayne, "Running Wild", "Bite the Bullet", "Two Against the Wind", "Silverado", "Longarm", "Desperado II", "Independence" and a National Geographic Special on Mustang Horses.

Faye holds a B.S. in Home Economics and a MA in Educational Psychology from the University of Nebraska. She does all the cooking for the Cabin Dinners and Barbecues.

Faye and Gary's son, Forest, who is a five time National Finals Rodeo Qualifier in Bareback Riding, and his wife Jaclyn offer hunting trips and snowmobile tours under Third Generation Outfitters. For more information about their business: ThirdGenerationOutfitters.com.

Their daughter, Cortney, no longer works for the business as she has taken employment in Alaska.
