Mountain Falls Golf Club, Pahrump

A true hidden gem in the desert. Feels like an Oasis as you pull into the facility. Course is gorgeous with true greens in near perfect condition. Worth the short drive from Las Vegas anytime you get a chance to get out here. Probably nicer than 80% of courses in Vegas. Just challenging enough without being frustrating. Restaurant has great food and priced just right. Staff is very friendly on the entire facility. Ellen on the drink cart was a hoot. Looking forward to coming back out here real soon. Enjoy!!!

I've been visiting Las Vegas for golf since the early 80s, when I worked for the LPGA and Senior Tours. I was also a Pro and Golf Shop Mgr later on when I retired from working on tour. I've also worked the agronomy side of golf, and today I'm a Sr. Acct. Mgr for a large golf course products provider. I have over 35 years invested in the golf industry. I've played in Japan, Scotland, Hawaii, Mexico, both sides of Canada, and all over the US. I've played or worked tournaments on over 600 golf courses in my life. So I have a very large sample size among my golf adventures. Today I have several golf course accounts in Las Vegas, Mesquite, St. George, and Laughlin. During my last trip, I was finally able to make it out to Pahrump, to play Mountain Falls, and I was truly blown away. Mountain Falls is an outstanding layout. It's scenic, challenging, it was in great condition, the facilities are first rate, and the folks who work there are very friendly and attentive. I was really impressed, and it's only 40-45 minutes from Las Vegas. I think Mountain Falls is truly one of the most unknown, underrated, underappreciated, and undervalued golf courses in the Southern Nevada / St. George circuit. It's a Nicklaus Firm design, and it's a lot of fun to play. I can't wait to go back!
