  • It was pretty awesome seeing the sea turtles! They matched the lava rocks. There was 1 close to us that we didn't see for a while, blended right in. Parking was annoying, we went on a Saturday...

  • Also check out the beach just to the west below Mama's restaurant. Protected "pool" and not to hard to walk to from the free parking.

  • The waves were impressive today, a swell had arrived and this break got the best part of it. We were rewarded with beautiful waves and got to see some talented surfers of all ages enjoy them. Kind of sad it was a brief stop on my journey to my destination. Parking was easy to find and the roosters were hilarious. One even had 4 girls he was mindingšŸ¤£
  • Delightful beach. Great ocean and surf, and watching the surfers was epic fun. Saw maybe 25 turtles. 10-15 up on the South end beach. Then a Hawaiian monk seal on the North end beach. Great snorkelling and phenomenal people watching.
