The gate is open in winter from 8 am to 9 pm. The lights were turned on in winter 2017 for 3.5 miles of Nordic ski trails at Government Peak Recreation Area. There's also more than 3 miles of fat bike trails. A steep hike up Government Peak in summer is another fun outlet. It's 4,777 feet up, up,up.

  • We had our wedding at the Chalet and it was absolutely beautiful! Sierra was so helpful and kind in making our day a wonderful experience!  more »
  • Great place to get out in the winter and enjoy the outdoors! Snowshoeing, cross country skiing and fat tire bicycling. Dogs allowed on leash.  more »
  • Beautiful in the fall. And I believe it is used for ski races.
  • The best place to mountain bike in the valley with increasingly more trails being added
