The Mt. Hood Meadows Nordic Center is scheduled to be open Thursdays-Mondays, from 9 AM - 4 PM this season.Mt. Hood Meadows is just one of the many highlights you can arrange to see using our custom trip planner, Parkdale Edition.
Our Nordic Center offers up to 15 kilometers of groomed and set track through beautiful wooded trails and meadows. We have both skating and traditional striding lanes, but there is no snow shoeing at the Nordic Center. The Nordic Center is located at the Hood River Meadows parking lot, 1 mile north of the main entrance to Meadows on Highway 35.
A Snow Park permit is required and can be purchased at the Nordic Center.
The Nordic Center is a modular building at the east end of the Hood River Meadows parking lot (not the Hood River Meadows lodge – skier services building found near the bottom of the Hood River Express). The Nordic Center is where you purchase your track fee, as well as rent equipment or arrange for cross country lessons!

I have a season pass here. It’s the better resort in the area in my opinion. It’s not the best resort I’ve been to (I’ve been to many), but it’s definitely the better choice around! Steeper and bigger than Timberline, which is nice when it dumps snow! And I really like going on the Hood River side, it gives you the feeling of going to a smaller more friendly resort. Overall, very nice resort!
Meadows has a nice setup for lessons. Discounted lift ticket and equipment rental along with your lesson. I was basically a beginner, having not been on skis for 20 years, and only once back then. By the end of the 2 hour lesson I could control my speed and direction reasonably well on green runs. Now I can ski to my son's snowboard competition areas. Beautiful location and lots of terrain. Well maintained and modern chair lifts.
