The Sandra Feinstein-Gamm Theatre (The Gamm) was founded in 1984 as Alias Stage by seven members of the graduating class of Trinity Rep Conservatory. An artistic collective based in an abandoned mill building in the Olneyville neighborhood, it allowed these young actors to continue working in Providence, expressing a shared sense of professional and artistic aspiration. About five years after Alias opened, a fire forced the actors out of their original space. But public and private support quickly got them into a second mill location. The theater enjoyed a strong and positive reputation for the quality of its acting in challenging and sometimes controversial plays. For more on The Gamm's history, visit gammtheatre.org.

    An amazing theater that delivers hit after hit. The new location is beautiful, the new concession stand is awesome, and the shows are always memorable. I know several season ticket holders so I have the chance to attend often. If you are interested in exciting, well produced and acted theater, The Gamm is the place to go.

    Small, intimate theater. (You walk across the stage to get to seats.) Just saw a *fantastic* production of The Night Watch. Free parking. Small concession stand in the lobby sells snacks and drinks (alcoholic and non). The lobby has seating and tables. Worth going to!
