Love this museum. They offer all sorts of events and movie showings. The riverfront is usually a nice place to walk on a sunny day as well. My recommendation: if you like movies you have to check out the giant screen theater. It's 2 stories tall and 3 stories wide. They don't offer all movies (it's a museum remember) but the ones they do have are incredible. The best 3d you'll get. Ticket prices and concessions are very reasonable as well. Also, they have bottles of beer! Unheard of in this area except around Bloomington. For sure, check this place out! Parking is EASY.
A good place to spend an hour or two. The theatre is comfortable and you can buy snacks and drinks like a regular theatre. They had several good choices of movies. We saw Apollo 11. The hands on area was entertaining to us older “kids” as well as to the young ones. The exhibit this time was LEGO. It’s amazing to see what they can do with them. I give it a 4 because every area costs $. The website wasn’t clear on that.
