Peoria Zoo Reviews
The grounds are very nice for walking around. For the most part it's easy to see the animals - except the tiger if there really is one there. more »
I enjoy the zoo much more and the park district continues to work at makingthe zoo and its exhibits a solid destination for Peorians and visitors more »
Just right for grandparents to take grandchildren. Not so large that you can't see everything in a few hours. You can bring your own drinks and lunch. Plenty of places to quick picnic. For young families I would suggest bringing your own food and drinks as the prices are a little steep in the restaurant. The souvenir shop has a large selection from which you can find more reasonably priced items to remember your visit.
We had a good time. Zoo was well maintained and had a great assortment of animals. Was a pretty cool day so all the animals where out and about. Layout wasnt too bad, flowed all in one direction so you could see everything. Had nice play areas for the kids also when they got antsy and needed to run some. All the employees where nice and courteous. I would recommend checking it out.
