    I stopped briefly at the Painted Desert Inn. Currently, the inn is closed; however, however, the grounds are open. The architecture is beautiful and melds into the surrounding landscape. There is an.....  more »

    A pretty building representative of the area, however it is not an inn you can stay in, nor is it open for the public to go inside.  more »

    Wow, this was an awesome experience. The building itself is beautiful, and the Navajo Native American guy in there is the most great looking, authentic Navajo I have ever seen. He was super nice and a great salesman! He taught us about how the Navajo rugs are made, and showed us a video. I am actually thinking about buying one next time I visit this beautiful area. He for sure made a great impression!

    Beautifully conserved old inn and restaurant that was on the old historic Route 66. Beautiful time period artwork and native jewelry available. A nice tour through it gives you a good idea of it's history with many photos of the place in its Glory days. It's a neat stop if you have time.
