  • Lots of hands on activities in the museum itself which my 3 year old enjoyed. However, it was a very hot day and we were already feeling the effects of the heat by the time we walked to the Olympia (which isn't immediately beside the museum). It was even warmer on the ship itself and it was also very difficult to navigate some of the narrow, open stairs with a toddler and while holding a baby. If you are bringing a baby, I recommend using a sling or backpack carrier-- you'll want to have your hands free, especially if you need to help a slightly older child! Definitely worth a visit, but try to pick a cooler day.
  • Admiral’s Tavern, the most historic ship in Philadelphia, has been one of my sister and her (now) fiance's favorite spots since they moved to Philadelphia, frequenting their floating beer garden on the weekends since 2017, and they just got engaged here this summer! The staff there couldn’t have been any sweeter in helping arrange the proposal surprise with a stunning Ben Franklin Bridge backdrop.
