#10 of 24 in Parks in Phoenix
The Japanese Friendship Garden of Phoenix is a traditional strolling garden as you would find in Japan. Come by to experience a calm feeling of serenity as you walk along the path. You may purchase food to feed hundreds of beautiful and colorful koi fish in the pond. Stop in the Gift Shop to purchase your tickets and perhaps a memento of your visit. A true cultural atmosphere to learn about Japan's customs, people, and way of life. THE GARDEN CLOSES JULY - SEPTEMBER

  • I loved the layout and the flow of the park. So many relaxing views and ways to just unwind. I would recommend at least one bag of koi food if not two. Feeding them is a nice part of the experience.  more »

  • It's beautiful. You have to see it for yourself. I could describe it for you. But it's a must see. Take a special friend with you. One of my son's took me. Mario F. And it's just so pretty and peaceful. I really enjoyed being there.
  • Truly a beautiful and well maintained attraction for everyone! Wonderful and serene. We brought the entire family, and you should too! I've never had ducks and pigeons eat from my hand until today. The pigeons were landing on our arms and shoulders (not in an irritating or menacing way) and ate the $1 bag of food pellets out of our hands. Ducks came walking up to us at the shore and ate food from our hands. Such a relaxing atmosphere they have created at the Japanese Friendship Garden.
