  • Beautiful cemetery on top of rolling hills. Many graves from the 1800 and 1900s. Plenty of Hatfield and McCoy graves as well as signage explaining the History of Dils cemetery and who is buried...

  • Founded a civil war veteran who was adamantly against slavery, Dil’s cemetery is possibly the first integrated cemetery in Eastern Kentucky. Mr. Dil’s grave commands the best spot in the graveyard...

  • Very cool location. I actually really enjoyed this graveyard, it was quaint and lovely with an abundance of history. So much history jam packed in one spot. A couple things to note it's roughly a 60 stair climb to the graveyard and maybe 10 or 15 more to reach the highest point in the graveyard. There is a small bench for resting on the stairs. Just take your time!👍 Parking for this location is across the road near the rescue squad, we missed it the first time. You'll climb up the first set of steps and cross the road and head up the next few sets up into the graveyard. Helpful tip, get an ice cream at the little drive in stand just below the graveyard. You earned it after those steps! Happy adventures my friends!❤️
  • My husband took pictures and walked around. If you're handicap or have knee or walking issues this isn't advised. There are numerous steps to climb as the cemetery is on top of the mountain.
