  • We had a lovely long walk here and wished we had time to do more. Beautifully maintained trails and fascinating history for the area. We will definitely return to do a longer hike!

  • One of my favorite state parks in all of Colorado. Love that you can hike for miles without seeing barely any people. Hikes tend to be longer- but the scenery is so pretty the distance never bothers me. Views are amazing; the overlooks are just the best. We love coming here. It can get windy at the top; and icy in the winter- but this park has it all. I love living so close by!
  • I love Staunton! It gets pretty busy on weekends. The trails can get crowded with bikes/hikers. But there are so many amazing trails and ways to detour off of one trail and on to other trails to make your hike/run/bike as short or as long as you want. There is something for everyone, too. From very easy to much more difficult climbs. It's a great place for a day trip. Make sure to pack more than you think you need because occasionally a trail will be closed to protect nesting wildlife, and the detour can add several miles on to your hike.
