In short, Liberty Magic is a space dedicated to elevating the art of magic.
Located at 811 Liberty, on the same block where Harry Houdini mesmerized Pittsburgh crowds in 1916, Liberty Magic is an intimate, speakeasy performance space dedicated to the art of sleight of hand and prestidigitation. With less than 70 seats in four rows, the magicians and performers who appear at Liberty Magic offer you a one-of-a-kind experience that is easy to access and hard to forget.

Liberty Magic is a project of the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust. Since 1984, the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust, a non-profit arts organization, has worked to make the Steel City a place where the arts can flourish. Our efforts have focused on the cultural and economic development of the Cultural District, a 14-square-block area of downtown Pittsburgh. What was once a downtrodden red light district now thrives as a vibrant center for culture, art, food, and community. Pittsburgh’s Cultural District stands as a nationwide model for how the arts can play a pivotal role in urban revitalization.
Liberty Magic Reviews
The Mind Reader show was really good. Loved the venue and very up close and personal. Saw him on Pittsburgh Today Live and knew I wanted to take my husband to see the show. Glad to have this kind of s... more »
Great show, wonderful venue! The setting is intimate and you are right in the action. Mindreader was a fabulous show - we will definitely be back! more »
This venue just opened recently and is absolutely awesome. Only about 60 seats and 4 rows so you are right up front in the magic no matter where you sit. This allows for great audience participation and to be involved in the show. Not just watching a show. They do allow BYOB for beer and wine for a corkage per person fee.
I'm so excited that we have a venue specifically designed for close-up magic in Pittsburgh. The venue is the perfect space for magic. It's intimate and very well planned. The look and feel of the theatre are great and the performance (Eric Jones) was wonderful! We can't wait to go back next month for Lee Terbosic and look forward to seeing many more amazing magicians at Liberty Magic.
