  • Wonderful zoo and animals! Advice from a Pittsburgher: Expect to do a lot of walking. Comfy shoes recommended, hilly walking. This is NOT a place you want to go on a hot and/or humid day. Besides...

  • Very nice place. Lots of exhibits to see - honestly wish there were more of each of the animals though. Most of the exhibits only had two of each species. Animals looked happy though and the exhibits were nice. The lions in particular were very happy on the day I visited being very playful. Food was actually excellent surprisingly- typical prices I think for what you would expect. A cheese burger basket with fries was $9.99 and I also tried a slice of pizza which was very very good and was close to $6 a slice but again very very tasty. Everything looked good and i will try other things when i visit again. Souvenirs were priced quite high - a medium sized squid plush was $32 and change plus tax... expect to spend MOST of your money there if you enjoy such things.
  • Lots of fun and lots of animals to see. I have went the last three weeks. Definitely not as busy when the gates open. Better to go earlier. The polar bears were moved to Tennessee but the penguins were out today! Always fun at the zoo.
