At The Andy Warhol Museum, the largest museum in the country dedicated to a single artist, study the art of Andy Warhol from his student days to the peak of his career. The seven floors are laid out chronologically, with each floor representing an era in Warhol’s life. Watch the movie at the start of the self-guided tour to gain additional insight into the influential artist and his works. The museum includes Warhol’s art, his papers, other materials from his estate, a collection of films and videos, and a live video feed from his grave site. Also, look for the drawings by his mother, Julia. If you visit with kids, bring them to the area where they can create their own art. • If you are a Warhol fan then you need to visit this museum. There is lots of history of Warhol and many of his paintings. Very interesting and informative.

  • I loved this museum and here’s why. - It’s chronological, starting from the beginning of his life on floor 7 to a contemporary artist inspired by his art on floor 2. Because of this, you can see how his art developed in relation to what was going on in his life. - It’s interactive. There are parts of the museum that allow you to interact with the environment. - It’s arguably the best cultural institution in Pittsburgh. I had a lovely time there and spent a good 2-3 hours in total. I highly recommend going and spending a morning or afternoon with Warhol’s life.
  • This is an incredible museum that I will revisit whenever in Pittsburgh. Amazing history and art, that while the story is sad, the colors are inspiring and vibrant. Its hard not to feel good in this museum. Some interactive exhibits, such as the balloons and the video print. Worth a visit, and I would take 1.5 - 2 hours to go through for the full experience.
