  • If you enjoy history, definitely make a trip to Plymouth Notch, Vermont where the 30th President was born. We went in the afternoon on Labor Day Monday and it wasn't crowded at all. Give about an hour and a half - two hours to see everything and walk around. There is a 15 min. video at the visitor center that narrates his life and the different buildings. Otherwise there is a 40-45 min guided tour. The admission is about $10 per person and it allows you to enter all the buildings. If you go to the cheese shop there is a small museum upstairs that display the different devices used to process cheese. This can easily be missed because you walk in and see the shop, but might miss the stair case up to see what is up there. They also have cheese samples too. The only building that we didn't get to see was the church and all the woodwork inside. It happened to be closed. The drive to get to Plymouth Notch is scenic with a few small towns along the route. It is a nice day trip if you're looking for something to do.
  • Much more interesting than I first thought it would be. It is however quite remote, but if you are anywhere near you should go. It is also medium good for children.
