  • Yesterday we had the pleasure of spending the day with Alexandra Fox who runs food and farm tours. Her friend TC of the Farm House Inn suggested that we reach out to Alex and as it turned out it was a great suggestion. My wife and Alex planned a spectacular day that included stopping first at Valley Ford Cheese and Creamery, where we started the day with so wonderful cheeses. From there we went to the Tamales farm where they produce predominantly goat cheeses but in addition they make sheep ones as well. My wife got to hold a baby goat and I’m still shocked. From there we proceeded to an afternoon of eating fresh, as in out of the water oysters. Most were just plain but we did sprinkle in some barbecued and smoked as well. Being that both companies have a crush on Alex all I’ll say is they were both delicious. My only regret is I can’t award Alex a 10 instead of a 5 she’s absolutely that good. Thank you for making it such a special day 😘
  • Best way to see West Marin — from the behind the scenes experiences at the farms, to learning about the unique stories of each place you visit. I particularly enjoyed visiting Brick Maiden and seeing how they make their stellar breads! They don’t have a public store front, so this tour is the only way to get behind the scenes to see their work in action! Also, really loved the variety on our Flavors of West Marin tour. We drank honey mead, ate fresh oysters shucked to order, tasted delicious local meats, cheeses, and more.
