Mahaulepu Beach, Koloa

This is one of my favorite beaches on Kauai, secluded, not a lot of people visit it because it requires a drive along an unfinished dirt road full of pot holes. The way Google maps tells you to go is not accurate. You need to go past the Grand Hyatt Resort & Spa golf course and turn left at the fork in the road. To the right takes you to CMJ Country Stables. To the left & access to Gillin Beach & Makauwahi Caves, you will have to hike down a dirt/sand path. The rocks can get slippery when wet & watch for twigs in the sand path. I suggest close toed shoes until you reach the beach & then switch shoes.

By far the best beach on the island. Mix of tourist and locals but definitely low-key environment. The people that come by on horses are not the nicest so maybe stick to your own.
