  • Found this preserve on my way home from New Smyrna Beach and had to come back and check it out. What a pleasant surprise. There are several trails to choose from and I picked the red trail. It’s a 5.....  more »
  • Just past the 3 mile marker the trail is blocked by a gate. The trail no longer continues to the east entrance. I was told that someone bought land that intersects the trail and does not want trespassers. This is very disappointing as the land and quiet solitude beyond the gate is a beautiful thing to behold. Silence is a rare commodity in our hectic, connected world. I wish there were a solution, it's quite a beautiful ride from end to end. It's a nice preserve for wildlife for sure.
  • Long Leaf Pine Preserve is great. The trail is freshly mowed as of today 10/18/18. All of the Volusia County Preserves are great local getaways to see real Florida nature.
