  • Great park to take a beach walk, check out the old coastal defenses, or just enjoy a big grassy field. While they're not restored like Fort Casey across the water, the gun emplacements all have informative signage and are worth the walk on top the hill. The Marine Science Center is a must, and don't forget to grab a bite and a beer at Taps.
  • Beautiful beaches, calm waves. Not a lot of people when i went, but it was a weekday. Bathrooms are decent, one is accessible. The foot wash is convenient and has enough pressure to do the job right. Go to the batteries up the hill, too. Great place to explore and get out of the sun for a bit.
